Research has shown that only through a personal connection and relationship will people develop respect and love for the environment. EarthLearn is committed to returning environmental education to an experiential, personal level and in so doing, inspire a love of nature and the outdoors within the children and the adults of our community.
We believe the best way to do this is to create fun and interesting experiences with nature and animals in the local and global community.
Specifically, our 90-120-minute programs are geared towards all school levels, and may include field-trips and follow-up learning situations. We begin by teaching and informing others about local issues first because this is our home and home is where our deepest affection lies as well as where each of us can have the most impact and direct influence. Once we understand and appreciate the delicate balance and fragility of our own natural wonders, we can have true empathy and comprehension of our neighbors' homes and dilemmas in such faraway places as the Congo, Sri Lanka, and Brazil.
